Beautiful SharePoint People

The Sharing The Point crew finally made it to Dubai, in their way to Share The Point in Africa, we had a kick-off meeting with some local SharePoint community at the top of the highest building in the world, Burj Khalifa!

The World According To Baraah (Moving To Dubai)

So finally, I did it, I got a job in my best city: Dubai. Not only that, I totally moved in, I got my own apartment too!

I gotta admit it’s a bit weird to live alone, but yet it’s excited, and funny in a way, you’ll do things for the first time in your life, like for me, I bought grocery for myself, and I have my own keys now! Open-mouthed smile

Burj-Khalifa-Dubai-2

Anyway, the point that I wanted to mention in this blog that I’ve been planning for this for a long while, and it feels so good to achieve it, have you ever wanted something so bad and one day you just woke up and find yourself there? in a real dream? If so, please share it with me Smile

No matter how down you feel, and whenever you find nobody who believes in what you can do, when nobody is around to support you, it doesn’t mean that’s it.. you and me know very well that you can reach to whatever dream you have, weather it’s big, small, needs time, needs money, needs help… we know, you know too that it can be done! So get up, go for it, don’t wait that someone to tell you that you can (well, I kinda just did) but you got what I mean. Open-mouthed smile

I do understand how much it helps to find a supporter, I did have that, but it wasn’t the main reason behind what I got, it’s that thing that wakes you in the morning “Passion”!

Go find yours and get it … yes, that simple!

My first time in United Arab Emirates

I’ve been in the UAE for a vacation last January 2010 for the first time, which was the best one I’ve ever had.. I really loved everything about this city, culture, weather, people, cars & of course MONEY!

They have money and they know how to spend it, which I find so attractive!!! I’ve learned many thing from their culture, I also tried some.. like their clothes style and the way they wear Henna on there feet, it’s pretty cool!

We live in Abu Dhabi by the way, the capital of the UAE. It’s a very high classy city, living there is so comfortable. It’s my parents style, while we "kids" loved Dubai more, where it’s crowd and noisy.

I did visit many nice places and sites & recorded videos as usual, my favorites ones are:

 076

321

I wished many of you friends were there with me, so many things reminded me of each one of you. Like Shopping reminded me with my friend Maiss, the beach reminded me with Eslam and so on…

The great Burj Khalifa was a breath taking for sure, starting from the flight view:

The moment I saw the Dubai fountain for the first time, I had a really strange feeling and my reaction was showed as tears, I still don’t get it, but I’ve never felt this way before. Here is one of the shows I’ve watched and fell in love with:

One of my favorites parts was the day I went to Microsoft Dubai, I felt like a VIP, I really thank daddy and family big time for this great day, though we got lost (and he got mad) but it was worth it. I had a nice meeting inside the office.

I just can’t wait to get there again!

Cheers,

Baraah Omari
