Meet Alexander Viktorov

As I promised you guys to keep you all updated with Oasys, here is the second member of the team I’m interviewing today, Please welcome Alex Viktorov :

 

• Tell Us Who You Are :

My Name is Alexander Viktorov, I’m originally from a beautiful country called Ukraine. Recently I turned 20, I’m a 4^th year Computer Engineering student at the German Jordanian University in Jordan, student of Applied Computer Science Faculty at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Currently doing my internship at the European Aeronautics Defense and Space Company in south Germany, right near the Lake Constance – a wonderful place at the northern foot of the Alps. 

Alex enjoys being a multicultural person and speak to people in their languages – currently he’ll be able to do that in most of Russian, Ukrainian, English, German, and Arabic-speaking countries. He has some cool different passions like Piano and classical music, but the biggest passion is of course programming.

 

• Alex’s Academic History :

In 2006 Alex successfully finished high school of the Embassy of Russian Federation in Damascus, Syria. Currently, He’s a Computer Engineering student at GJU and doing his exchange year in Germany.

 

 

• Alex is Oasys Team :

Alex joined the team from the very beginning when they were working on the project “Oasys” itself.

The interesting thing is that the team was called after project and not vice versa. So, in analogy to the “Chicken and Egg” dilemma, the idea (the Egg) was first.

 

 

• Alex’s Plans For The Future :

Alex is planning to get his master degree after getting his bachelor since he believes that research is very important for any engineer or scientist.

A dream job would be to sit on a sofa in a huge office, draw software on paper and give it to a vast team of developers that would bring my ideas to life… NOT. Well, of course it’s a joke. In reality I’d like to work on a piece of software or a service that would influence the daily activities of a great amount of people and actually fulfill one of the main goals of software development – to enhance our experiences and life standards.

 

 

• Alex Too Has a “Thank You” Message :

I’d like to quote a great American industrialist Henry Ford that once said: 

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

I think the success of the team was actually in our unity, and if we keep up like this further, I hope, that success will be our prize.

I would like to thank my team-mates for many short moments of joy and sorrow that I’ll never forget and that they helped me to understand, that there is nothing impossible, when there’s will and motivation.

I’m especially grateful to all academic staff at the colleges I studied at, because they taught me much more than just course material.

And of course I’d like to thank my parents for letting my dreams come true and for support in all my endeavors.
