Sharepoint Arabia (nontechnical view)

thumbnail

WoooW, I always liked anything related to SharePoint, a very successful SharePoint event happened yesterday online that I proudly attended.
Many blogs where shared about it I’m sure, but I’m writing now to talk about the nontechnical view. I’ve been in touch with some of the speakers for a quite long time, and I remember some of them were planning for this for months, they really worked hard (regards to their tweets).

Yesterday, I’ve seen the success after months planning, I’ve seen achievements after team working, I feel so honored  to join such a wonderful team. I almost felt like I’m one of them!

The way they introduced each others was my favorite, they way they thank any speaker after his session was amazing, all speakers were proud to be a part of it.

The online chat room was really active, the attendees were so friendly, I knew many SharePoint related new guys.
Oh, let’s mention names: Michael Noel, Mohamed Yehia, Mostafa Arafa, Jose Antonio Morales, Ayman El-Hattab and Jerry Yasir.

I want to thank them all one by one for the great job, congrats guys!!

Finally, the best thing happened yesterday, that my name was mentioned in the last 10 minutes (For tweeting), wooow, that felt good, I mean come on, you don’t hear your name in such events everyday, do you?

I have a special thanks for Ayman El-Hattab for this touching reply:

sps
I promise you to become one soon!

Cheers,

What is Live@edu ?

Did you know that you as a student can now have a new access on many free software from Microsoft? Did you know that you can share your documents with your colleges freely? Did you know that you now have a new ID (email address) related to your university? Did you know that you have a chance to win a laptop or a Windows mobile device?

Live@edu is a program that Microsoft released to help students with their study. Students now can share whatever they have with each others and with their instructors, which saves time and increases efficiency!

Yarmouk University is one of the most active users of Live@edu in Jordan, which attracted Microsoft to come and show students what they can do with their new IDs, and announce the winners with a big awesome prizes. On March 21, a very big crowd appeared in the right time and place, Dr.Sameh Ghawanmeh started the event with his speech, welcoming the president of Yarmouk university, Rula Ammouri (The manager of Microsoft Jordan) and other well-known employees like Mohammed Arrabi, Nadin Haddad (The Live@edu prgram manager), Ruba Jarrar, Maher Khayyat and Mohammed Helal.
